Collaborators

Partners & Supporters

Like an organism in an ecosystem,

RE-PEAT needs support to survive and thrive

Whether through financial support, advice, knowledge, venues, platform, volunteering, encouragement, or something else; each supporter has played a crucial role in the evolution and impact of RE-PEAT. Without our past and present supporters, we would not be able to carry out our work for a new peatland paradigm. We thank and celebrate the incredible individuals, organisations, and communities who stand by us in our mission to create and propel positive change for peatlands.

We believe that real change occurs through a beautiful chaos of various organisations and movements all doing their part in chipping away at untangling societal issues and putting bricks on the roads to solutions. Individually, none of these actions will suffice, but piled together, a powerful synergy emerges. Niches of tactics, narratives and audiences can come together to complement and strengthen each other. It is up to us to trust this process and help it along by building a strong network of collaborators and allies.

Seven Ways to Support US

  • Our work relies on the generous support from foundations, institutions, corporations with an ethical core business, and individual donors to make our work possible. We are continuously looking for financial support, both for our projects and for developing our organisation. This support could be in the form of donations, grants, or services

In order to align the money we accept with our vision, mission and values, we have set up an internal ethical funding protocol. To find out more about what kind of money we do and do not accept, click here.

  • Experience the diversity of peatlands through our engaging talks and workshops tailored to suit your event's needs. From informative presentations to experimental and embodied sessions, we offer a range of immersive experiences that illuminate the significance of peatlands in our environment. Most workshops can be given either online or in-person. We are available for speaking at universities, schools, NGO gatherings, informational events, panels, conferences, summer schools, and more. Examples of our offers include:

    • Peatlands 101 - history, science, and the importance of peatlands

    • Peatland Justice - how do we affect a socio-environmental justice transition in the horticultural industry

    • Re-imagining Peatlands - train your imaginative muscle through and for peatlands

    • Peatlands and Grief - a series of four workshops exploring grief through peatlands and peatlands through grief

    • Moss Pit - a multisensory and immersive peat experience

    • Peat Cyanotype Workshop - blueprinting life from the bog

  • Are you a  legal or financial expert, fundraiser, illustrator, copywriter, management expert or otherwise specialised in a field that somehow connects to RE-PEAT? Then we would love to receive your support in the form of a service! We are always eager to elevate our projects and upskill our team members. Let us know about what you could offer us and we can explore how it could fit our needs. Ideally we can make it a mutually beneficial experience and we can support you in your needs in return.

  • Do you or your organisation offer trainings which RE-PEAT could benefit from? Let us know! RE-PEAT is constantly growing and evolving, with upskilling being part of our continuous evolution. Such training could for example be on the topic of strategy, campaign management, promotion, funding, inclusivity, accessibility, governance, etc. We continuously search for means that allow us to partake in these activities.

  • We are open for groups and individuals to collaborate with us on drafting or executing a project. In the past, we have worked together with artists, activists, and NGOs on funding applications, campaigns, and events. We invite you to reach out to us if you have a specific project in mind or you would simply like to explore possibilities together.

  • Can you help bring RE-PEAT’s stories to the public? Great! The peat needs more publicity. Whether you have a large social media outreach, or you are associated with a media channel, we would be grateful if you could help us bring our work and the magic of the peat into the world. Please reach out to us for interviews, article writing requests or other media-related ideas.

  • Did you also fall in love with the peat and now find yourself unable to pull your feet out of the bog? Great! Join our lovely crew of peat-ple. We welcome new folks into the team every three months and ask for a commitment of a minimum of 3 hours per week. RE-PEAT consists of a blend of paid and voluntary members.
